Performance of physical theatre with a musician.
The performance “Las Carnes de Ursula“ is a life story of three women:
Ursula, the mother of everyone, who seems she will never die; Rebecca, a
girl with visceral impulses and Remedios the Beautiful, who is a symbol
of liberty and unbound.
Portraits of these women are inspired by the novel “One Hundred Years of
Solitude” by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It is a fascinating book, especially for its density of characters and their connection with
surrounded elements and with the land they live in. Each character has
evolved in this world neither in negative nor in positive way, but
simply entire.
In this project, the research of characters is done through the
textures, using more physical rather than psychical sensations. The idea
is to work with the presence, created with dense and tough matters. The
reality is completed with metaphorical images, forming the absurd
universe with its own logic.
